All wood comes from the local forests of the north of Germany. The results are unique and ecologically valuable timbers which withstand climate without additional chemical treatments. Beautiful sustainable black wood. This century-old technique to make wood resistant was used by the ancestors of our baltic region, slavs and vikings, in their house and boot construction. The art of burning wood is also known as shou sugi ban or yakisugi in Japan and it is used until today for wooden facades.

We redefined and refined these antique techniques. RAUCH/HOLZ can be used in many ways, whether outside in a facade or as a special highlight in interior design. Inspire us with your ideas and we will produce something unique for you.
